Short Stories: What we Love about Autumn

Autumn - nature's most spectacular season. A time when our senses come alive amid fresh starts and heart-warming traditions, framed by amber sunsets and the soft golden flicker of candlelight.

From the aroma of baked apple pie and crisp crunch of burnt orange leaves... to layering up in soft, snuggly knits and that momentary gasp when our skin first hits cold sheets as we shimmy under the covers for extra warmth. Each one worth celebrating in its own right.

In this first of our Short Stories - a quick-read, compact version of our Journals - we share some of our team's seasonal favourites... enjoy!

"One of my favourite Autumnal moments is the joy of lighting fragranced candles on slow, dark nights, while oak logs smoke on an open fire.

There are so many things I love about this season... crimson leaves, cashmere with a whisper of yesterday's perfume - and my twin daughters' birthday celebrations!"

"For me, Autumn is mostly about capturing those cosy moments, from a late night cup of hot tea in my snuggly PJs to wrapping up in a big coat for lunchtime beach walks with the wind in my hair (followed by a bowl of hot stew)!

Cinema nights out and movie nights in... self-care evenings with indulgent hair masks, body wash & lotion... while giggling along to Joanne McNally & Vogue Williams' podcast!"

"I always look forward to the delicious seasonal drinks at this time of year, especially a Spiced Pumpkin latte!

And I love Autumn weather... that perfect temperature when it's neither too hot or cold and we can start wearing cosy layers again."
