Why STORIES Hand & Body Products are SLS and Paraben free

Every element of the STORIES Parfums collection is designed with intention, attention to detail and purpose.

From the moment the concept of a Hand & Body range was developed, I knew that every element of the process would receive the same level of commitment as designing my fragrances. This would not be a simple sideline with added scent, but a stand alone, skin-kind, eco conscious collection that I could be proud of.

  

Luxury Care without Compromise

I've always been passionate about beauty and skincare - and wanted my own products to be the very best that they could be. This meant that they must tick very specific boxes, including:

It was always my vision to create luxurious products that promote a sense of wellbeing as well as caring for your skin, made with the finest handpicked ingredients, selected for their individual qualities to nourish, soothe and protect skin. It wasn't enough that the ingredients were wonderful - I also wanted them to include specific ingredients for the hands and nails - Marula Seed Oil, Sweet Almond and Argan Oils. And it didn't stop there...

Gently Foaming

While we all love to lather up, harsh foaming agents such as sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) can leave skin feeling dry, irritated and stripped of natural oils. Committed to creating a fabulous solution in our Hand & Body Wash, I incorporated a much gentler formula - sodium lauryth sulphate (SLES) - achieving that same gorgeous lather while respecting your skin's moisture levels.

 

 

Coconut Cleanser

STORIES Hand & Body Wash contains high-quality, plant-based cleansers made from natural coconut oil. Suitable for sensitive skins, this gentle, soap-free method of washing leaves your hands and body feeling clean yet comfortable, without the risk of dryness or irritation. Instead, adding to a cocktail of ingredients to provide well nourished, soft and hydrated skin.

Paraben-Free

Parabens are chemical preservatives used to preserve the quality and shelf life of skincare products, and have been known to cause irritation or a negative reaction in the user. I made an eco-conscious choice to formulate STORIES Hand & Body products without the use of parabens, instead choosing safe alternatives that are equally effective preservatives. Every effort to eliminate possible irritation and focus on the good stuff was a step forward in my eyes.

Cruelty-Free

STORIES Parfums is a cruelty-free brand. None of the products or raw ingredients are tested on animals (by STORIES or a third party acting on our behalf) and we do not sell in any countries that require animal testing. This has been a policy since day one and an ongoing commitment.

Inclusive

As a brand, we believe passionately in beauty without boundaries. While our story may have started with deep roots in traditional methods and ancient craftsmanship, our ethos is that of a thoroughly modern brand. Intuitive, inclusive and always accessible, we will never define our fragrances by gender or name; or tell your story for you.

Every ingredient in the Hand & Body collection was chosen for its unique ability to effectively nourish, soothe and hydrate your skin, hands and nails. From glycerin in the wash - a natural humectant to moisturise, soften and plump, to soothing and anti-inflammatory Aloe Vera in the lotion - to boost skin barrier repair and enrich skin with vitamins A-E.

Each Hand & Body product is delicately fragranced with STORIES scents and can be mixed and matched with eachother or the Eau de Parfums to create a bespoke fragrance, used alone or layered to intensify scent and prolong lasting power.
