The aromas around you have the power to influence your mood and emotions, even without you realising. Having a beautiful, aromatic scent setting elevates any space, so we want to share with you our tried and tested tips for getting the most out of your STORIES candles.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CANDLES
The maiden burn
Upon a candles first burn, allow the candle to melt until its top surface is completely covered in melted wax. We recommend an initial burn time of 2 hours minimum but no longer than 4 hours. This establishes the candle's memory for future use as it prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn.

Storing you candles under a glass dome cloche and in a cool, dark place is the best way to retain the vibrancy of a candle's aroma. Having a protective cover over the candles also keeps dust from settling which can affect the quality of the burn.
Repurpose your jars
Once you have finished your STORIES candles you can either refill your candles with our refill sets to enjoy the scents all over again. If you choose not to refill your candle jars then we would encourage you to give your candle jars a new lease of life by repurposing them. Useful as storage for make-up brushes, jewellery or even small plants; we would love to see your creativity on repurposing your STORIES candle jars!

Our candle wicks are made from 100% natural cotton which means they won't release any harmful toxins or chemicals when burning due to it being a natural material. Our candle wicks are self-maintaining so, don't require trimming before every use. This is because our cotton wicks are strong and resilient, meaning they hold up to the heat as the flame is burning and are less likely to bend or break when in use. All that may be required is the removal of any debris after each burn.
Scent layer your home
We spent more than a year perfecting our candle blend to ensure a long-lasting burn while being committed to sustainability. Our aim was to offer a multi-layered scent experience in your home, with more than just one or two perfume notes. In fact, each candle contains anywhere from 10 to 30 perfume notes, taking scented candles to a whole new level. Because of the high concentration of olfactory notes in our candles, you won’t need to burn them for as long to achieve the desired scent in your surroundings. We are committed to providing you with luxurious products that are sustainable and environmentally friendly.
The total burn time for the trio of candles is 45 hours and they can be enjoyed burning together to create a truly olfactory experience or lit individually to enjoy the top, heart and base note candles which have an individual burn time of 15 hours each.
Mixing and matching the candles in the trio allows you to create your own unique layered scent and create a bespoke atmosphere for your space.
How to refill your candle trio

Once the candles have little to no wick and wax left, place the empty glass jars into your freezer and leave them there for 1-2 hours.

Once frozen take each glass jar out of freezer and scrape the remaining wax, wick and any residue out of the jar. Use a damp cloth to wipe jar clean followed by a drying cloth to dry.

Place your new refill into the jar and your candle is now ready to light and enjoy. It is important to note you must allow the candle to burn for a minimum of two hours when first lit.
