Can you tell us the story of Fleur of England?

Fleur of England began as a dream to create lingerie that embodied elegance, luxury, and craftsmanship. Founded in 2001, the brand was born out of a desire to offer women beautifully designed pieces that make them feel confident and empowered. Each collection is thoughtfully created with a focus on bespoke embroidery, high-quality materials, and expert craftsmanship. We aim to provide a sense of sophistication and beauty, making every piece feel like a work of art.

What is your ethos behind the products?

Our ethos revolves around celebrating femininity and strength. Each piece is designed to be luxurious yet comfortable, with details that evoke a sense of grace and sensuality. We want our customers to feel empowered and confident when wearing Fleur of England, as if each piece enhances their natural beauty. Quality, elegance, and fit are at the heart of our designs, ensuring every piece feels exquisite and supportive.

How has your brand evolved over time?

The brand has grown tremendously since its inception. We started with classic lingerie pieces and gradually expanded into loungewear, accessories, and special collections consciously crafted to be eco-friendly, Our Delien collection is produced 33 miles from our office in Wales. We have maintained a commitment to quality while embracing new techniques and trends, such as intricate embroidery and the use of exclusive fabrics. Over the years, we've also introduced new silhouettes and expanded our size range to be more inclusive. This year we are thrilled to launch our capsule loungewear collection “Fleur du Jour” which takes you effortlessly from day to night.

When did your love and expertise of lingerie and nightwear begin?

My love for lingerie started at a young age. I was always fascinated by the artistry involved in creating delicate and beautiful pieces that are both functional and luxurious. I used to cut up my mother's clothes to make clothes for my dolls, I always chose the most beautiful fabrics. My mother decided she would take me to jumble sales so I could upcycle these instead, I loved making my way through piles of clothes to find a piece of treasure (embroidery/lace or silk). I have always wanted to create my own label since I can remember. While studying Fashion Marketing at university I worked in a luxury lingerie boutique fitting women and helping them find their perfect fit. I decided I needed to work in the lingerie industry before starting my own label where I could combine my passion for design with a love for luxurious fabrics and craftsmanship. Fleur of England is truly a labour of love and creativity that grew from these early experiences.

Where did the unique designs of your clothing pieces come from?

Each design starts with a story. I’m inspired by the world around me—art, nature, architecture, and even the emotion of a particular moment. The collections often draw upon themes like romance, empowerment, or the changing seasons, which then influence the choice of colour palettes, fabrics, and embroidery. The goal is always to create pieces that tell a story, evoke emotion, and become cherished parts of the wearer’s wardrobe.

How do you choose high-quality materials for your designs? What colours and fabrics work best?

We are meticulous when it comes to sourcing materials. I choose fabrics that feel luxurious against the skin and hold their shape beautifully, such as silk, lace, and bespoke embroidery. Our colour palettes are carefully curated to complement different skin tones and evoke a sense of elegance. Rich, deep hues like burgundy and emerald create a feeling of luxury, while delicate blushes and whites evoke timeless romance. The combination of high-quality fabrics and expertly crafted details ensures that every piece feels like a true indulgence.

Who is the most inspirational person you have spotted wearing Fleur of England?

It’s always a special moment when I see women who truly embody strength, confidence, and elegance wearing our pieces. While I can’t name a single person, I have seen many inspiring women, from celebrities to everyday customers, who choose to wear Fleur of England as an expression of their femininity. It's truly humbling to see our pieces make women feel beautiful and confident, no matter who they are.

Can you tell us about your Inner Circle?

The Inner Circle is a VIP membership program designed to offer our most loyal customers an exclusive experience. Members gain early access to new collections, bespoke services such as custom fittings, and invitations to private events. It’s a way for us to say thank you to those who share a passion for Fleur of England and wish to be more deeply connected to the brand. We aim to make each member feel truly valued and pampered.

Have you any exciting launches planned in the coming months?

Yes, we have some beautiful new collections launching soon that I am incredibly excited about. We are introducing new pieces that focus on luxurious comfort without compromising on elegance, and I can’t wait to share more details. We’re also expanding our sustainable offerings, with more eco-friendly fabrics and production practices, which align with our commitment to responsible luxury.

Name three things you believe a lingerie piece should be.

Beautiful: Lingerie should be visually stunning and evoke a sense of “I deserve to wear this”. Lingerie should make you feel incredibly special.

Comfortable: It should support the body effortlessly and feel as good as it looks.

Empowering: A great lingerie piece should make the wearer feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

In five years, I see Fleur of England continuing to grow as a leading luxury lingerie brand, with more boutiques in key cities around the world. I’d also like to expand our sustainable practices, embracing innovative materials and ethical production processes. Most importantly, I envision the brand maintaining its core values of craftsmanship, elegance, and the celebration of femininity.

Do you have a special scent memory? As we know, fragrance has the power to emerge us in an instant, and our sense of smell is the most powerful of all our senses, closely linked to memory and mood. Is there a special scent that connects you to a place or to a person?

Yes, the scent of fresh peonies always brings me back to my childhood. My parents grew beautiful peonies in the garden where I grew up, I loved to play in the garden surrounded by peonies. I now grow them in my own garden The fragrance is light, sweet, and elegant, and it inspires many of my designs today. It evokes a sense of nostalgia and joy, reminding me to always infuse a touch of romance into each collection.
